OUR EVENTS
Throughout the year we have a number of events for members. We have several BBQs in the Garden. These are lovely occasions where members come together and spend time in the garden without actually gardening! We fire up the barbeque and members bring food to share. Our BBQs are fun afternoons!
We also host an annual Table Quiz to fundraise for the garden. This event generates an important financial contribution for the day-to-day running of the garden.
We had a fabulous celebration for International Women's Day, 2026. We have a wonderful diverse community at SCG and our members brought a selection of their traditional dishes. We shared recipes, had a cooking demonstration, and just enjoyed each other's company. We also celebrated the wonderful, Rosie, a remarkable member who we presented with an award of honorary membership at SCG. She is an inspriation to us all. Thank to everyone who contributed to this great day. And, thank you, to Fingal County Council for thier support of our community initative to mark this important day.
Another fabulous morning on Sunday, 1st February, celebrating St. Brigid's Day at the garden. Thank you, Eileen, for making the beautiful St. Brigid's crosses. Thank you to all members who brought cake and treats to enjoy.!
Thank you to Kay, Mary T., Eileen, and all members who decorate our R&R area throughout the year for our various events.
